Coronavirus COVID-19
We, at Ipswich Dental Care, are pleased to inform you that our surgery will be re-opening for limited face-to-face services from 8th June.
Following government guidance, patients will be seen on a pre-booked appointment basis only. We are working hard to ensure that you will be treated in the safest possible way. All patients will be triaged remotely for COVID-19 symptoms as well as their general health and dental needs.
We have adapted our surgery protocols to include the use of enhanced PPE, decontamination procedures and extended appointment times.
Patient pre appointment Pack (PAP)
The way we deliver dental care has changed due to COVID-19. The PAP is designed to reflect our ‘new’ approach and will give you an indication with regards to your journey through the practice.
The aim of this new protocol is to improve patient safety and patient flow within the practice. We will be sending out these packs digitally before your appointment. We would appreciate if you could read the following information and fill in the attached forms, signed and dated and return to us digitally before your next appointment. The documents are:

What to expect when you arrive for your appointment?
Upon arrival, please telephone reception or ring doorbell and wait. Please do not enter until invited to do so.
The appointments are staggered with space between patients so there should not be much waiting outside. It will be possible to maintain social distancing with other patients this way.
A member of our team will ask you to confirm your name, take your temperature (infrared thermometer) and to confirm your COVID-19 status. Patients showing signs and symptoms will be ask to return home and contact 111. You will be asked to use alcohol hand rub and you will be directed to the surgery. Patients should come wearing a mask if possible or be prepared to wear one.
Please attend alone (where possible), arrive promptly at the time of their appointment and only bring essential items with you. Please consider leaving your coats and non-essential items in your car or bring a bag with you, leave them in this bag in the waiting room area.
Please note that if you require the attendance of a chaperone, he/she will only be allowed in the waiting room area. This person must not exhibit any COVID-19 symptoms or have pre-existing medical condition which place them in the vulnerable or shielded groups. Their admittance is conditional to them not being in these at-risk categories.
We would politely ask our patients to minimize visits to our washroom facilities. Please ask a member of staff if you wish to use the washroom.
Please sanitise your hands using the alcohol gel located near the exit upon leaving the surgery.
What to do if there is a delay in providing you with your dental appointment?
Due to the high demand and our new work pattern, we will be operating at a reduced capacity in the foreseeable future. Some patients may be referred to our local Urgent Dental Centre UDC for treatment. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
We may follow up, within 14 days of the appointment, to ask whether you have since developed COVID symptoms.
For appointments please call us between 9am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Please note we are closed for lunch between 1-2 pm.
For out of hours service after 5 pm during the week, weekends and bank holidays, please call 111
Thank you from the team at Ipswich Dental Care
"I have been a patient of Kenneth Ng's dental practice for over ten years. He is a highly skilled dental surgeon with an efficient and friendly manner. I cannot fault his professional abilities whether he is doing routine maintenance or more complex work. He is always up to date with the latest techniques. I am very happy to recommend Mr Ng and his practice."
"Without Mr Ng's skill & kindness I would not have been able to make the recovery I did. I would recommend his practice to ANYBODY."
"I was referred to your practice by Ipswich Hospital to have a very troublesome and difficult root removed. I would like to thank you for your expertise in removing the root which had taken Ipswich Hospital seven years to make a decision on. I would also like to thank your staff for their professionalism and efficiency - it's seldom present on business these days."
"I originally attended Ipswich Dental Care for implant surgery. Kenneth Ng performed this complex procedure with great care and skill. He explained the process in detail and always answered my questions in a clear and easy to understand way. He is now my (and my family's) regular dentist."
